Our Story
Tripp and Amber met in high school when they were 14 and 15 years old. What started as a friendship blossomed into a love greater than either of them expected to find so young. Their first date was on February 17th, 2017. They went to the movie theatre to see Lego Batman, and it was here that they discovered the first of many shared passions. At the end of the date, Tripp asked Amber to be his girlfriend. They spent the rest of their childhood growing up together and growing closer to one another.
The high school sweethearts both attended North Carolina State University (go pack!), where they pursued their passions in literature and education. They grew even closer during their time in Raleigh, working, cheering on the Wolfpack, and spending quality time with their friends while they navigated life as young adults. Their favorite things to bond over are their shared love for movies (especially Harry Potter) and a desire to see the world.
After graduation, Tripp began his career as a poultry scientist, or as some might say, a chicken farmer, and a year later, Amber began her career as an educator. Tripp now owns his own chicken farm, while Amber teaches science at their Alma Mater, Cape Fear High. They make each other proud every day, both in awe of how hard-working and successful the other is.
Tripp proposed to Amber on September 20th, 2025, and they haven’t stopped smiling since. A long-awaited celebration followed, where they spent the day surrounded by the most important people in their lives and relationship.
The happy couple is so excited to fulfill their promise of forever next June and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
